Jess Hits 100 lbs Gone in 7 Months!

Whoo Hoo! Jess Hits 100 lbs Gone on Her 7 Month Anniversary!
December was a tough month for Jess. She lost her focus, not too bad, she stayed low fat, low sugar raw, but started to peter out and wasn't doing the walking like she normally did. She only lost 4 pounds in December. So to help her along we offered a 10 day challenge to others at camp who wanted to support her through doing her exact program. A big group joined her and together they motivated and encouraged each other to push hard, so Jess would to. And it worked!!

I am so excited to say that Jess hit the 100 pound mark on her 7 month anniversary at RFBC. Results of our 10 Day Challenge that Turned into 15 Days
What an amazing two weeks in our challenge. Originally, this challenge was offered to get those who were a little hesitant about putting their all into a Rawk Starz! type of program to see at how easy it can be and what great results you can get, plus to add some extra support for Jess. What happened was amazing.

Eight women joined in. Two of them became very ill (not from the program but caught that nasty bug that's going around) for more than half of the time, and while they didn't get the big losses the others got, they stuck it out, even when they were sick! The others balked at times. There were lots of venting about walking 2 hours a day, but they did it. It was funny most thought the food would be hard, but they found 100% raw to be easier than eating some cooked food, and after the two weeks most are ready to continue with two hours of walking a day. They loved the results.

With Jess and Pjack starting maintenance on Feb 1st, there was openings in our Rawk Starz! program. 5 women from this challenge are going to make the commitment and join FreeSpirt and Clpet on this amazing journey of 100% low fat, low sodium, low sugar raw with 2 hours of walking a day. They want their 70 lbs in 4.5 months! I can't say that I blame them.

The others are going to start a second completely focused group where it is 80-100% raw and a minimum of 90 minutes of walking a day. They should get their 70 in 5 to 5.5 months.

I love focused dieters. There really is no other way to get this done. And the great thing is, come to RFBC to lose the weight, do three months of maintenance with us, and get to stick around for as long as you need to make maintenance stick for free.

Think about it. What keeps you from doing this.

We beat weight loss surgery hands down, and the great thing is we get to stay healthy and have no worries about surgical complications. We lose the weight, feel great, and in the process take control of our lives when it comes to food. There is no better place to be for fast weight loss, than RFBC!

New Challenges at Raw Food Boot Camp

This week we have a lot going on at camp. Today, Jan 5th, we are starting two separate but joined challenges. The ladies in the Rawk Starz! have challenged each other to lose 12-15 lbs in January. They know what type of focus that takes and the walking involved, but each of them is so close to a milestone that they want to see it this month. Jess of course is on her countdown to 100 pounds gone in 7 months and winning that $500 from us, FreeSpirit who just a month or two ago complained about being the heaviest woman in the group is just 12.4 lbs away from Onederland (199 lbs) with 76 pounds gone in a little over 5 months. Clpet was on vacation, traveling, and while she didn't gain weight, her loss stalled from all the sitting, so to reach a personal milestone, she has 16 pounds to lose. She's already lost 64 pounds in less than 4.5 months. And Pjack, who is the slower loser of the group and who desperately hates walking on the treadmill but because of her family obligations has no other resource for walking, wants in too. She is 20 lbs from her goal weight, but already is looking good and that is interfering with the need to keep pushing. Yet, she jumped in. She wants this weight gone so she can start maintenance with Jess!

Since they were all so excited to add more push to their regular routines, I offered a ten day challenge to the rest of the group. But it was a no drop out challenge. If you sign up, you're in for the full ten days and there are no excuses, no life events or schedules that will keep you from keeping your word. It's the Rawk Starz! diet they will be doing with 2 hours of walking a day. Four so far are in for sure, three others are working through things with me, but may join as early as tomorrow. I am very excited about this. I love big butt kicking mode!

While the others aren't ready for that type of challenge, we are doing our own sort of challenge. We are going to hit the top 9 reasons they aren't ready to commit to giving this their all. Tomorrow, we are compiling the list. Their actual list, and then for the remaining 9 days the morning audio and the discussion will all be focused on these obstacles to real commitment toward success.

Our Below 35 BMI group has started. There are some great women in that program as well. They seem to all be on the same page, and ready to work hard to achieve their goals whether it is to lose 20 pounds or 50. Most are interested in learning how to change food addictive behaviors, so much of our 3 months together will be focused on changing bad behaviors and bringing in new ones.

Pretty exciting stuff is going on at RFBC.

This Jan and Feb should be spectacular months as so many of our women will be hitting big milestones and goal.

End Results of RFBC Free 4.5 Month Raw Challenge

On August 1st, I invited 7 women to RFBC for free in exchange of them doing a 100% low fat, low sugar, low sodium raw diet for 4.5 months, keeping up a public blog and showing their faces. Here is how it finished up!

Two were asked to leave for lack of participation.

Three were unable to follow the diet and were given the option to move out of the program and participate with the regular group at camp. Two took me up on that offer, of which one, Papaya is still at camp and has lost 34 lbs.

Two followed through, and while neither of them were perfect, they stuck it out and made it the full 4.5 months. At the beginning of this program, I believe it was FreeSpirit who said she would hate for December 17th to come around and see others who had lost the 50-70 lbs promised and for her to have not done it.

Free Spirit 72.4 lbs Gone in 4.5 Months!

Well, I'm happy to say, FreeSpirit did make it with 72.4 lbs gone in 4.5 months. She wasn't always perfect, but each time she broke, she got right back to the program and pushed downward. I remember about mid-way through, she felt overwhelmed by the fact that she was the heaviest woman in the group. Now, 72.4 lbs later, she is one of the most inspiring women in all of RFBC!


Vera 56.11 lbs Gone in 4.5 Months

Vera had many issues. One, she does not own a computer, and had to count on the one at work. She lives in Nigeria and computer access isn't as easy as it is elsewhere, so there were many times when days, even a week or so went by when she had no contact with us. And yes, she slipped up, but as soon as she could, she got back to camp and pushed downward. I am happy to report she has no plans on leaving camp, and in her 4.5 months lost 56.11 pounds. And don't forget. Vera had been following along with our diet before joining earlier in the year and lost 24 pounds, so together she has lost 80 lbs following the RFBC program!

So you might think, two out of seven isn't very good, but you would be wrong. And it's actually three as Papaya is still with us. Dieting long term is one of the hardest things to do for the obese. Few succeed. I knew that going in. Had just one woman made it through, this program would have been a great success, but the truth is the success is even greater than these two women for the others it inspired.

Right now the women following in their footsteps and spending each day with them are also having these amazing results.

Jess 88 lbs Gone as of Today


Jess worked with FreeSpirit and Vera, and as you know has lost 88 pounds as of today. Wednesday is her 6th month anniversary at RFBC and we are all cheering her on to hit 90 lbs gone. Here's her last before and after to remind you of how great she is doing! Yesterday she reminded us that she lost 63 of these pounds during this 4.5 month challenge with FreeSpirit and Vera.


Clpet 60 lbs Gone in Less Than 4 Months

Clpet joined RFBC on August 28th, and quickly adopted the Butt Kicker program. We moved her up to the Rawk Starz! with Jess, FreeSpirit, and Vera, and she has never wavered. She lost 50 pounds in 12 weeks and was the first member to win the free month of support for her effort. She didn't get the 12 pounds to earn her second free month, but she got 10 pounds, and that is pretty awesome! Actually, she has hit one of those sticky points we all hit along the way, so this month she'll get her 12 and her next month will be free again. With three weeks before her 4.5 month mark, she can still get that 70 pounds gone like Jess and FreeSpirit.


PJack 43.4 lbs Gone in Less Than 4 Months



Pjack started with Clpet on the 28th of December. At five foot tall, she didn't have as much weight to lose as some of the others, but that didn't stop her from giving this her all. Her first month was slower as she found her way to the focus point we talk about all the time here at camp, but then it hit and she has been relentless in her desire to reach her goal which is only about 15 lbs away. Her plan is to hit goal and be in maintenance with Jess come February. We are all very proud of her. With three weeks away from the 4.5 month point, she too will hit well over the 50 lbs mark.

My Anniversary Gift to RFBC Members

On December 28th, RFBC will celebrate it's 6th Anniversary! Six years, wow. When I first started Raw Food Boot Camp, I didn't think it would last a year. But here we are, and here we are going to stay. I always offer some kind of special for our anniversary. Last year it was the free week of Introduction to Raw Food Boot Camp, which I have kept free for anyone to listen to and explore. This year, it's going to be six month's of free support. Here's the deal!


  • Be a current, participating member of one of RFBC's regular programs the week of December 28th. (The women with a BMI of less than 35 who are doing the 3 months special that starts on Jan 2nd are not qualified for this special).
  • Stick around with continuous membership at RFBC for 6 months. That's until July 1, 2012. For those whose current membership ends the last week of June, that will be considered your six months.
  • Lose 50 lbs. For those who are current members and have already lost 50 pounds, those are included. The start weight counted is from your last continuous start date. So if you lost 20, left for a month, came back and gained some, the start weight is from the new start, not the old one. Many of our current members have already qualified or are close to qualifying for this requirement.
There is one caveat. I have offered this in the past, and had people do great until membership was free. So this time, each of those six months you must lose a minimum of 6 pounds to get the next month free. At RFBC 6 lbs in a month is easy.

Special 3 Month Program for Women with a BMI Less than 35

Special Program For Those with A BMI under 35
January 2nd - March 31st

Is your New Years Resolution going to be to lose those 20-30 pounds that have been nagging at you. Then come join this special program designed just for those who have anywhere from 10 to 50 pounds to lose. We will start Monday, January 2nd and go through March 31st. 

This group will be a 75-100% raw diet with a minimum of 45 minutes a day of cardio exercise of your choice. Calories will be 1200-1400 calories a day, a maximum of 30% fat per day, and a maximum of 1500 mg of sodium a day. Of course I will always try to convince you to do more raw, less fat, and a lot less sodium.

Depending on how much you have to lose and how hard you're willing to work for it, you could lose up to 50 pounds in those 3 months. But that takes a 100% raw diet with 2 hours of cardio a day. Trust me, it is very doable. If you're happy with 20-30 pounds in the 3 months, you can do a less stringent program and still reach your goals. 

We will work together as a group. Through January, everyone will have a personal log with me so we can tweak the diet and exercise and you get comfortable with what works for you. After that, logs will be optional, but available. There will be daily audios, and group participation threads. 

This group will be separate from the regular RFBC where we deal with obesity issues. This group will be geared toward getting those nagging pounds off, and then in March we will start talking about ways to keep the gain off by modifying what you have done to lose it to work into your regular routine. This will be a one time program that will end on March 31st. There will be no opting in after January 2nd. The program will be limited to ten women.
